Good shout. I like those R4 plays and had forgotten how good they are.
Nationalised companies aren't all bad I guess!0 -
Radio 4
Does that still exist ??
My Radio is permanently locked on 97.7/98.8 or 99.9 FM'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Radio four is great. I like some plays but hate the particular brand of smug comedy play they often favour. The forum one went off when it went from posts/pms etc to phone conversations and stuff.
I love radio.
I miss the programmed stations in my car
. DH's has one of those old dial turn tuners, and we cannot find ANY radio station on it. I think new radio/cd player might be a rates household christmas purchase... 0 -
I keep thinking I should be listening to radio 4 more.
I used to really enjoy radio 5 live. I still listen to it but am nowhere near as fond as I used to be.
I'm a music snob in some ways, so use cd's a lot myself...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Most of my cds are in storage.
. I hate that and it always seems a lot of effort to go and have a route around to change over. (some bright spark put my cds near the back of a container.)however I like having the random music experience of radio. Its like being taken on a date, rather than deciding where you want to go in the evening: both nice experiences in their own way. 0 -
I think you can listen to it here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00nj9p8 43 minutes in.0

Good Lord! How do you survive?
I know if my house burned down I'd die in it trying to save all my "valuable" cds.
I love music - have it on all the time, car, stereo at home, on earphones whilst walking.
I see what you mean re radio, but I'm too picky about what I want to listen to, & music radio plays too much rubbish or repetition in my experience.
I have a friend who listens to radio all the time, & every time a trck she doesn't like comes on starts retuning til she finds a track she likes! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

radio, you tube.

cats and dogs for me, then other stuff. All but the most rare cds can be replaced. nd probably even them.
seeing as we have, er, several thousand cds it would be a lost cause anyway.

yes, me too, but sadly I find I can't listen to music all the time now with my old brain, so radio four is a good alternative. I've been watching more tv recently too, a bad habit I'm going to ditch today.

Thats why I change stations all the time.
I listen to different genres though out a day too.

I've gone right off TV. When it is good, it can be brilliant (the simpsons, twin peaks, first getting into the x-files, or 24). Most of it is rubbish. Rather read a good book - really have got into reading in the past 12 months.
I know cds are replaceable, but I'm less rational when it comes to music!
If you don't have one lir, get a digital radio. The extra stations are well worth investigating.
I love different types of music. Music is so fluid & changeable. It can mean quite different things to different people sometimes. I love having a wide variety of choices, as what I want to listen to changes so drastically, depending on my mood, & what time of day it is, & how things are going. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
