Hey
is it just me or , tried to sign up with Tesco direct ( first time i have try to purchase anything from them ) got to checkout and went to register
got the message:
("Sorry, we couldn't register your details. Unfortunately an error occured while we were registering your details. We are currently investigating the problem and hope to resume service soon. Please try again later.")
i tried later , and a bit later
and have given up and purchased my stuff on amazon
i did a search and found a simailar story on a blog page
where in the end the guy rang tesco on their expensive customer service number.
i just sent an email , so well see.

I use Tesco Direct regualrly with no problems. Probably just having computer problems. Every service with Tesco seems to have computer problems every so often. You would think that a huge company like that would have better IT. Its a waste of time contacting Tesco Direct by e-mail as they seem to skim read your e-mail and then answer a competely different question to what you asked.0 -
I had same problem when on several occasions tried to register and got the same kind of message.
I then went onto try clicking on the forgot password recovery and it seemed to recognise
my email ( ie, it did not say that email is not registered etc )
next i telephoned customer services , and they had no record of my email address! and suggested trying again:mad:
so this time i registered but did NOT put in my clubcard number
(ticked no club card )
that time worked ! and i was in.:D
later i added my clubcard details ( all in all a vey long winded way to sign up on a net based retailer ):money:
i use mozilla , perhaps it possibly has something to do with that ?
as mrcol1000 above suggests maybe Tesco need to invest more in their
IT dept

Most large organisations will have IT problems which somehow affects their customers whether they know it or not at somepoint!When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0

hey,
i did get a reply from Tesco Customer services manager .
He acknowledges there is a problem with certain clubcard numbers
being accepted into their system. Anyways they have manually set up my account now.
(was hoping for some clubcard points for the hassel
)
