Hi
My friend has £14,000 which she wants to put in some kind of savings account.
She is looking after it for her mum who does not need it in the short term and she can keep any interest it makes.
Any suggestions for the best place to put it.
Any suggestions appreciated.

probably the same place as all the other people asking the same question every day.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Internet savings accounts usually offer the best interest rates, apart of course from an ISA.
Best place to start looking would be here;

or you can always get the latest listings of all accounts divided in categories at https://www.moneysupermarket.com0
