Friday 6th Nov - What small DFW things have you done tday?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Good morning lovely DFWs....it's Friday

DFD 2017 :eek:0 -
Hi all, I am having a day off work today and T is at school all day so I have been looking forward to my day of freedom. Unfortunately yesterday I was struck down by a terrible lurgy so I am not up to much. _pale_ Bum.
I have spent quite a few pennies today but I am being DFW cos lots of things were bargains to put away for Christmas.
1) Went to Sainsbury's and bought 6 bottles of Chardonnay for £13.
2) Went to Boots and used a voucher to buy a posh reusable NO7bag for £1 - stocking filler for Mum.
3) Went to Asda and bought Quality Street tins @ 2 for £7. Also stocked up on frozen Quorn at £1 a bag and packets of 4 jacket potatoes for 20p.
4) Bought Glamour mag for £2 with free £10 nail varnish for B's stocking.
5) Sold a bundle of DVDs on Netmums.
6) Relisted items for sale on Netmums.
7) Cashed in £10 from daily SCs. Will pay it straight off a CC when I get it.
8) Ordered a £10 e-voucher from survey site and spent it straight away on a Christmas present.
9) Sent off for Lego from the Daily Mirror offer.
10) Hokey Cokey
11) Watched an episode of Grey's Anatomy for free entertainment.
12) Checked banking.
To do: I must wrap up a Christmas charity shoebox to take up the school later. I make family boxes for Link Romania but T's school collect for a different scheme so I have put together one for a little boy. I am off now to read my book and drink a Lemsip.
Have a gay day, L x0 -
Happy Friday DFWs!
And it is a Happy Friday because...I GOT THE JOB!!! :j:j:j:D:D:D:beer::beer::beer::j:j:j
I am so so so pleased, I can't quite believe it, I keep waiting for someone to phone me and tell me it is a joke. This is the opportunity of a lifetime, they had over 200 applicants and they picked me!
I am so so chuffed!
They phoned and told me about an hour after the interview, I keep thinking now that I must have imagined it. Think I need to see it writted down before I believe it! Didn't have much of a DFW day yesterday in the end, went out for lunch and dinner but I was celebrating, it isn't everyday something like that happens.
Today's list- Breakfast and lunch from stores
- Dinner from freezer (pasties)
- Check banking
- Free fruit at work
- Hang up washing
- Sort out last few bits at flat for tenants
- Make some bread
- Ironing
- NSD
