Join forces with your grandchild and enter an energy or money saving tip each to be in the running to win a mascot place at an FA Cup 2010 Semi Final plus a total of four tickets to watch the match. The nine runners up win £150 towards a family day out of their choice and their tips will be included in the StayWarm grand tips online booklet.
Anyone over the age of 60 is invited to team up with a grandchild or great grandchild, aged between seven and twelve, to write an energy or money savings tip each to help families over this winter, and submit it via the link below. if your grandchild is not in the age group but is under the age of 16 you can still enter and be eligible for a runners up prize, but not the mascot prize.
For an eligible entry you must include two energy or money saving tips together with your name, age, telephone number and postcode plus the name and age of your grandchild.

If you and your great/grandchild, aged between seven and twelve, are named as the overall winner, you will receive a mascot place for your grandchild at an FA Cup 2010 Semi final plus a total of 4 tickets for the match which must include one each for mascot and grandparent. Transport and accommodation costs will be included up to the value of £750. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a young fan (aged from 7 to 12 years) to accompany a player onto the pitch as a player escort in one of The FA Cup 2010 sponsored by E.ON Semi Final matches (The Semi Finals are scheduled for 10 and 11 April 2010).
The nine runners up will win a cheque to the value of £150 to pay for a family day out of their choice.- StayWarm Grand Tips is open to residents of Great Britain only who are aged 60 or over and one grandchild or great grandchild. To be awarded the first prize the child must be between the ages of seven and twelve. Children not in this age bracket but under the age of 16 are eligible to apply for a runners up prize only.
- Persons involved in the administration of the competition and employees of The Promoter and their relatives are not eligible for entry into the competition.
- To qualify for entry, you must submit two energy or money savings tips via the given link together with your name, age, telephone number and postcode plus the name and age of your grandchild and be available to be involved in the campaign in November and December 2009.
- The closing date for submitting entries via the website is Wednesday 25 November 2009.
- Entry to the competition is free and will only be accepted via www.eonenergy.com/grandtips.
- Entry into the competition constitutes acceptance of the rules. Only one entry per grandparent and grandchild team. Third party or bulk entries will not be accepted.
- The winning tips will be chosen by a panel of E.ON energy experts and one external party.
- The winning team must be happy to be involved in photo shoots and media activity. E.ON also reserves the right to use the Grand Tips for communication to its own employees.
- The winning tips and nine runners up will be chosen by the judges by 30 November 2009.
- The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The mascot place and FA Cup tickets will be provided 2 weeks prior to Semi Final. The Semi Finals wll be played at Wembley however the FA reserves the right to change this is necessary. The child must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. Transport and accommodation will be sourced and paid for by The Promoter up to the value of £750. E.ON UK is not responsible for late changes in the date and kick-off time or postponement of the match. The prize also includes four tickets for the player escort, the winning grandparent plus two others to watch the Semi Final match. You will be advised which end of the ground your seats are located. Requests will not be considered. The Promoter has no jurisdiction over which player escort each child will walk out with. This process is managed solely by The FA and will be decided on match day. No requests can be made. They will be contacted approx 2 weeks prior to the fixture.
- The £150 cheques will be provided by The Promoter, awarded following completion of the Grand Tips campaign in November 2009 and delivered within 30 days.
- The Promoter reserves the right to substitute alternative prizes of equal or greater value for the named prize.
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend, alter or withdraw the competition at any time in whole or in part without prior notice at any time. Participation in the competition is solely at The Promoter’s discretion.
- The Promoter reserves the right to use photographs, the name, location and the nomination information of the winner for future competitions and/or publicity purposes, and the winner hereby consents to such use of their image without charge.
