Are Halogen heaters cheap to run?

They are an electric heater so the cost to run is no different for any other electric heater.
Halogen heaters are good for concentrating heat to an area, not so good for space heating.0 -
All electric heaters cost the same to run. The only reason to choose one over another is appearance, purchase cost, or practicality of use.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
They're also scarily ugly looking.0

Totally depends on the heater output.
As said, they all cost the same to run, but how much will depend on it's output and the insulation, ie is it going to be on all the time?
Obviously the higher the output - the less time it will need to be on.
However Halogen heaters can be very hot if you're in it's line of fire.
Perhaps if you say what the purpose of the heater is for / room size etc, we could be of more help.
for example, in a room it's better to have two smaller heaters than one large, otherwise you end up with drafts.
Some provide heat immediately some take some time to warm up - but likewise continue to give off heat when turned off.0
