Hi i have just moved out of a new rental property back to home whilst i was having some repair work done on my house. The new rental i was in had aerial sockets in every room and whilst i lived in the rental property i bought myself a nice new white plasma tv for the bedroom.I have now moved back to my own home and my own bedroom has no aerial socket and my tv wont work,,do i need to get another socket installed or can you buy one of those primitive type aerials that sit on your tv????thanks for any replies..

Hi,you might be able to spell but your counting's not to good
eh, vaio, should that be 'not too good'?You might think that 27col can spell, but I'm not so sure.
Have a look at the first word wot he/she rote... Concratulations
KeithP, grammar check, I think you meant 'what' and 'wrote', in fact 'has written' might have been better.0 -
Bug ger again
On the other hand I’m sure Keith’s mistakes were ironically deliberate0 -
Just to bring this back on track, not that grammar and spelling aren't important. Unless of course you went though the education system within the last few years :rotfl:
But when we were having our windows replaced the aerial lead had to be removed, as it went through the frame. So whilst I debated getting it replaced, or going for Freesat I got an internal aerial.
Now it was the cheapest aerial I could find, as it was not a long term solution, but I am not that far from a TV transmitter and there is a reasonable line of sight, despite the aerial being on the ground floor. Yet I could not get all the Freeview stations, so yes you can Freeview on these types of aerial, with the aerial pointed in one direction. Which meant having to get up and adjust the aerial to get a signal for other stations if you wanted to watch them.
For example with the aerial pointed in one direction I could get BBC1 and 2, but not ITV. With the aerial pointed to get ITV, I couldn't get BBC1 and 2. These aren't the channels i had the problem with, and cannot remember now which ones they are. But hopefully you get the idea.0 -
I put the typing mistake in to see if anyone noticed. Congratulations to all those who did.
I can certainly spell, but my typing is not all it should be. At least I can take a joke against myself. You will see, that in an earlier post, where I commented on someone's spelling, I was called a pedant. I then posted saying that I agreed that I was a pedant. The only trouble was that I spelt it pendant. I left the mistake in the post, because if I had not, no-one would have got the point of the joke. Have a nice day.I can afford anything that I want.
