why is no delivery straight forward

Just need to vent my annoyance. We have ordered several large items recently & not 1 has been straight forward.

1. Bedroom furniture for main bedroom. Took a small chunk out of wall while placing chest of drawers in position. £20 goodwill gesture made by shop

2. Belling double oven. Top oven not working properly. Someone has now been out 3 times as parts not kept on van. Still not working Hopefully being sorted next Tuesday.

3. Shower enclosure, wrong size runners sent so fitter (a friend) had to cut some off.

4. Large wardrobe for spare room from Rightprice Furniture. Told shop that it may have to be split & reassembled. Advised there would be a charge. Drivers arrived not having been advised of this & did not have any tools. Screwdrivers hastily found from shed. Then told that charge would be £46 not £20 as stated on invoice.

On speaking to Rightprice I was told these were old invoices from when they had their own drivers but they now contract out & price is £46. I informed the assistant that my contract was with them not the delivery company & their invoice clearly stated £20. She tried to tell me that I should read the T&C on the website. This got my back up as I had actually ordered through the local showroom, & was issued with the invoice at the time. After 15 mins of going round in circles (no manager available as it was lunchtime) she finally agreed for me to pay £20 & they would pay the rest.

All this time wardrobe was part dismantled on the drive & drivers were sat in the van.

I will be sending a letter in to the manager expressing my disappoitment. We were intending to order dining room furniture next year but we will now be looking elsewhere.
