LX Direct problem

I placed an order with LX Direct and used a £15 off coupon and the confimation screen, after filling out my credit card details, also stated that the £15 had come off. (I have a printout of the final screen verifying this)
I received the confirmation email but no £15 discount was present. I called LX and they said that it was only one £15 discount per person and they could do nothing as I have used one before. Also I called too late to cancel  !
Anyway, I was just wondering, because I only agreed to pay the price (with the discount code) is there anyway I can get them to credit back the £15? Also, is there any law protecting me from being overcharged as I only agreed to the charge of £14 and not the £29 which I have subsequently been charged?

I dont know who or what LX Direct is but I assume that it is some form of mail order in which case under the distance selling regs you can cancel the order within 7 days at no cost to yourself - one key exception is personalised items. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

I think if i remember rightly, there is a clause in the terms and conditions that you have agreed to the t&c of the voucher and therefore, if you have not met these conditions, the company has the right to charge full value.
i know that littlewoods employ these tactics.
I would politely talk to customer services and try and get it returned owing to the fact that you were under the impression you had not used the code. They should be ok about it if they are half decentThomas Jefferson: "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on."

I called Customer Services and they told me to refuse delivery of the items. Then on return I should get a full refund including P&P. I have now refused the items so fingers crossed I get the full refund!0

In future, use the discount code but join LXDirect again in another family member's name. You can use your own credit card to pay - your family member doesn't have one and is giving you the cash!0
