Hinckley & rugby have introduced a lifetime tracker at BR+0.15%, and for me fees would be c.£750. I've compared to other products and this looks very competitive, what does everyone else think?
Although there are various application, valuation, etc. fees I like the look of it. Never heard of the H&R let alone had any dealings with them so couldn't comment on whether the company is good to deal with or not, but the figures look good. I like the fact that it is BoE +0.15% rather than the Barclays rate on the Woolwich deal.
Talking of my own deal I have been pleasantly surprised at the speed of the initial response to the application. I have this morning shown the surveyor around and he is happy and have also dropped my response to the paperwork from the solicitors in the post. Well done, so far, Woolwich - despite your previous reputation. Let's hope it continues this way!
Barclays Base Rate = Barclays Base Rate. No matter what it has meant in the past it is not Bank Of England Base Rate and Barclays can do what they want with it. I am prepared to take the risk given there's no tie-in and I can take my business elsewhere if it does become greater than BoE Base Rate but I would feel a whole lot more comfortable if it was BoE like the H&R BS deal above.
