Click on 'Low Cost Bedroom Finder' bottom right hand corner, then change the date to anywhere between 20th Dec and Jan next year ;)

They don't do family rooms as such I have found, but at some hotels if you ring before booking they will let you know if they can put up to 2 extra z type beds in a double room (for no extra charge). We did this with the Oxford Abingdon hotel, booked and then emailed them to confirm we wanted the 2 extra beds put in the room as per our conversation. They did sugguest a delux upgrade for £15 might give us more room, but we found the room had plenty of room without paying extra. The Ascot Hotel had family rooms in the Summer when we booked, but they rang before our stay to say they did not do family rooms as such, they were usually extra beds in a double room and they offered us an extra interconnecting room for free to give us more space, so we got 2 interconnecting rooms for £10.
  • excellent just booked southampton in jan, for 29 a night - thanks very much op!!!
