I just phoned o2 and they cannot see any file for repair with the IME number. I sent this response back.As mentioned in my previous email, the phone was in full working order when posted and there was no fault with the phone. It was never subjected to water damage and I had used the phone without fault since purchasing.
As explained in my previous email, I requested that you scan and send me a copy of the letter from o2 including the IME number of the phone (this will be on the letter), yet you have not produced a copy of this letter.
When a buyer purchases and item from eBay and they are not happy with the item, the first route of action is usually to contact the seller immediately. I'm not sure why a buyer would send an item to be repaired straight away without even contacting the seller.
I am positive that this phone was in perfect working order when posted. I will look forward to seeing a copy of this letter from o2, as I have contacted o2 and they have confirmed that there is no record of a phone being filed for repair with the IME number I provided them (the iME of the phone I posted you).

Reply sounds spot on, I'd also mention in the paypal dispute about him saying he posted it on a Sunday, might lose some credibilty to his story. Oh and is'nt it IMEI number? "International Mobile Equipment Identity" not that it really matters lol.Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive0

Just one other thought that occured to me, I rather suspect that the o2 statement of water damage is a generic excuse they use as I got that on a phone I had only had 1 day and which was returned, yet it had never actually been used. It was a hell of a fight to get them to sort it out and yes they came back to me in around 48 hours, which is why I suspect they tell everyone it was 'water damage' and never actually check.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. He emailed me a scan of the email today. The IMEI number matches the one of the phone I posted him.
Is that it? Do I ask him to send it back and give a refund?0 -
if there is a reference number on the scanned letter from 02 i would call and double check again as it would be easy enough for somebody that is good with programs such as corel and psp to edit and change details0

I'd double check with 02 first to make sure there definitely weren't any records of that IMEI number.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

You will almost certainly lose the paypal chargeback now anyway, so you might want to keep the buyer sweet for when he leaves feedback.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
