Dont use Landline - Best deals?

Hi I was wondering if someone could come up with a miracle story for me, I am currently with BT paying, I think £12 a month, now as me and my OH both have mobile contracts, we never use the landline, we only have it there for internet, so I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of a very cheap landline provider. Tying in the internet and phone is not an option as ive just switch to o2. Any landline company's going through quidco would be amazing

You should be paying £11.25 a month for line rental (paying by DD and having opted for paper-free billing).
If you are past your first 12 months, you could phone and negotiate a £2/month discount by agreeing to a further 12 month contract - you need the landline for ADSL so what the heck? That takes the cost down to £9.25/month.
Are there any companies which allow you your own choice of ISP which offer line rental at less than that price?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
