I need to put some money back into the christmas pot after the sainsburys sale and was thinking about selling my girls playmobil hospital with the furniture she got to go with it. I also want to sell some pm house furniture too.
Is ebay my best bet or do people still look in the free papers etc
I thought i would put pick up only as it would be a large thing to post.
Any advice would be great

I bought a Playmobil airport locally through an ad on Netmums. Its targeted to families, in a local area, and free to list. Might be worth a try.
Or local NCT sale - many have toy sales coming up.
Good luck,
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
i sold this exact thing last christmas and i got £77 for it. POstage was going to be £12 but someone collected and gave cash on collection.
i found that to get lots of hits i listed loads of pictures (using html and photobucket so as not to pay more fees) of the hospital all set up. then off it all packaged back up in the box (i used freezer bags to keep it all safe).
i couldnt believe we got so much as i only paid £80 for it new when bought a few years before.0 -
www.gumtree.com always seems to have a good coverage, and free too.
('mums' & 'dads' may only be the only ones looking at mumsnet?- no mention of their well meaning relatives and friends, or eben speculative parents(!)Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Oh thats great. What ever I get would be great but I would be so thrilled to get £70+.
I'm not that confident when it comes to selling on ebay so I'll have to look at how other people list things. Photobucket is a good tip. Cash is also welcome.Kind Regards

Playmo is great for holding its money, plus lots of collectors and sets are retired often so it stays pretty solid.
My DD is a collector (shes 12 now) and a brief count up the other week revealed she had probably just over £3.5k of the stuff
The Victorian Mansion (original) is the best seller. With furniture and the extension floor you can easily get £175 for it. If you are lucky enough to have a small fencing pack with gas light from a few years ago then go buy yourself a beer because thats going to get you somewhere in the region of £130!
EDIT
Scotch that, Victorian Mansion can now reach a massive £215 furnished without the extension floor!
I'm stopping DD playing with it now lmao0 -

The price of it can only go up. Playmobil really shot themselves in the foot with the new mansion, its awful compared to the old one and its just making the original so much more sought after.
