Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to call sky on there 08442 number

From a BT line, 9.05p connection plus 5p* per minute (no real surprise that Sky chose the highest cost 0844 revenue-sharing numbers).

However, if you have Sky Talk, calls to Sky's 0844 numbers are included 'in plan' (i.e. evenings and weekends if you're on Sky Talk Freetime or at all times if you're on Sky Talk Anytime).

* Actually, it's 4.89p/minute at the moment because VAT has been reduced to 15% but, when that rises to 17.5% again on 1-1-2010, it'll revert to 5p/minute.

The max for an 0844 number from a BT line is 5p/min.
