oh my gosh, that looks delicious! i have to make a birthday cake tonight so think i may replace my usual sponge with one of these (might be easier to eat in the pub?!)

do you think i should leave the ganache off though if i'm going to be taking it out for the evening? it will be out of the fridge for at least a few hours before i hand it over??

oh, also - do you have any idea what size tin would be used for this recipe?

sorry - you came here to show us a chocolatey future and have ended up with 20 questions from me instead!!

Here's my recipe , I use a small bread tin, as its easier to cut into slices for everyone.

Sorry I'm not at home so can't measure my tray

It's pretty much the same as in OP and I agree it's lovely.....mmm wonder if i'll have time to make for tonight????

    Malteaser Tray Bake

    100g butter
    200g milk chocolate
    3 tablespoon’s golden syrup
    225g finely crushed digestive biscuits
    225g Maltesers
Melt together the butter; chocolate and syrup then add the crushed biscuits and the maltesers.
Mix together quickly then pour into a lined Swiss roll tin and chill till set.
For a special occasion drizzle with some melted white chocolate

Sorry, I haven't got a clue where cakes are concerned, I don't normally make them (notice how I say normally) :rotfl:that may change now I have seen this recipe.

I'm sure some cake 'expert' will be along soon to answer your questions.

It would probably be ok if you can keep it chilled for as long as possible before you go out, and also if you are going to put in a tub chill that in the fridge too.... what about some freezer ice block things in the bag..... I think the Ganache would go a bit runny, Gooey, soft, can't think of the word if left somewhere warmish....

Oh hope I make sense to someone, too hungry to think just now lol
