Hi,Can you please advise which paint you have found to be the best value for money, I am just looking to paint a couple of rooms in light colours ... just wondering if some of the own brands are just as good as the big boys.Also are there are current offers on dulux/crown etc that people may have come across ?Thanks in Advance

Hi, our Tesco Extra have a range of Dulux paints currently at half price - I think they were last years colours, but I bought some and it's gorgeous (ummm, half price is about £6.50 ish)

Wickes' Trade range is good for neutral colours. We were buying approx 20l for less than £20

If you buy 3x Crown 2.5ltr tins this will work out at £8.99 per tin, normal price £14.99.
Crown is also a rally good quality paint.

If you are looking at emulsion, try to use vinyl silk. Matt paint tends to show fingerprints very easily....not good if you have kids. Vinyl silk, you can wipe with a cloth to get marks off....save you painting again :money:
