Special Mail Services - Secure Passport Delivery

Options
Special Mail Services - One word - GAAAAAAAH!!!!!!

What an utterly useless bunch of muppets! Had a failed delivery from them in the middle of May, so rearranged, via their website to deliver on my next day off - Saturday 27th.

Did they even bother to show their faces? Not a jot. Upon calling the helpline (on an 0870 number - saynoto0870 doesnt have one) the guy told me that "for some reason" they had attempted on the 26th!!!!! Well, if they had done, where was the card to say they had called?!?!?!

So now, with only another 4 weeks 'til my holiday, my passport is still in limbo. I'm gonna have to waste another Saturday off to wait in for this shower of tw@ts, and they had better come, or they'll be getting sued for my loss of holiday etc...

WHY cant the passport office just use RoyalMail special delivery?!?!

AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!

Same thing happened to my colleague who never received her passport through SMS. She finally received her passport 1 day before going on holiday. My advice to you is to do what she did. Report the passport as lost, get in touch with the passport office, get a replacement and arrange for it to be delivered Royal Mail Special Delivery which have a far better reputation than SMS. Even better still, and for piece of mind, arrange to go a collect the passport yourself. Keep hassling and hassling them.

    Good luck my friend!!!

Why don't you have your passport sent to you at your work address?

I work shifts, so I either start late or finish early-cant guarantee i'll be at work when they arrive, and they cant guarantee a morning or afternoon slot...

And you cant collect it from them as they wont give out details of their depot for "security reasons...." aaaaaarrrrgggghhh!

Not that they get it right when you rearrange anyway.....
I rearranged to have my parcel delivered to an alternate address today. I got a phonecall from an irate driver asking me where I was....they'd only tried to deliver it to the original address again  So, looks like I have to wait ANOTHER week before I can get my parcel *sigh*

We have had several experiences of the very poor service from SMS.

Despite re-arranging several times, they rarely take any notice of any instructions (i.e. different addresses), and it has taken us several weeks of re-trying to get the items. The fact that you can't go and pick it up is appalling!

As a result, we no longer use certain ticket agents for concerts, as they insist on using these bafoons!

Nice to see that when they make a mistake, they bother to phone the customer and arrange another delivery.....not.

I'm appalled by their complete and utter lack of customer care. I don't understand how a company this poor are still in business - a lot of my study materials were sent by them a couple of years ago and they got left in bins, or in the rain and now, the driver admitted they hadn't sent him to the correct address and that he'd get someone to contact me, and they haven't bothered. So now, I have to waste another Saturday sitting at home waiting for the delivery as they can't guarantee what time the driver can deliver. I'll definitely be writing to the person who sent me the goods to tell them what an awful company SMS are

Ergh. I stayed in all day deliberately but I missed the SMS person somehow. I wander downstairs and I find a card to say that they have come, but noone was at home (???). Funny thing is, the card isn't even addressed to me - it's addressed to someone really random who doesn't live here. They've obviously kindly decided to try and deliver someone elses parcel here.....no clue where mine is! Would be nice if I could actually get hold of someone from SMS.....

Gah. ANOTHER Saturday totally wasted. I'm ringing Barclay's first thing on Monday morning and asking them to cancel the CC they've sent me, and to send out a replacement one via any company other than SMS!

    I'm REALLY not happy now.
Still no sign of my parcel, so I call them up two days ago. The guy says that their systems are down and he will call me back in 15 minutes. He never calls back.

So, I call them again today. And I get told "Sorry, we have no record of your call asking to redeliver last weekend. And anyway, we don't deliver to your area on Saturdays". I pointed out he'd just told me that they did try to deliver 2 satursdays ago, plus they'd left a message for my next door neighbour last Saturday so that was a lie. "errrrrrrr, yes" he said. So again, I said can I book for tomorrow. "No" he says, "We don't deliver your kind of parcel on a Staurday". Now I'm confused. How come you tried to deliver it 2 Saturday's ago? "Um, I don't know. We got it wrong". Too damn right.
"Can I speak to your manager please?"
    "No"
"I want to speak to your manager"
    "No"
"I WANT to speak to your manager NOW"
"Um, I'll put you thorugh to HO"

So they put me through to someone who doesn't speak English properly. Thanks for that. And they tell me exactly the same pack of lies - we don't deliver to your area on a Saturday ever. And we don't deliver your type of parcel on a Saturday. We can deliver it Monday though. Although only to the original address. Where I don't live any more.

    Waaaaahh.....I give up.
