Unsolicited Home Insulation

Had a visit from a sales chap offering loft insulation for £199.
Explained to him that I can get it for that price from our supplier.
He rang up later and said he could do a deal (he mumbled £149) and if I agreed to a survey he could hold the price for me.
Fine but I DON'T want it doing.
Anyway he never turned up for the survey, but I've had a letter saying after the recent survey I have agreed to the work with an installation date. There's no price on the letter.
I'll be ringing them to ask what's going on, but from the reference numbers it looks like they are a chosen supplier for N Power.
N Power have a £149 offer on their website but we don't qualify as the loft area is a bit too big. I'm presuming he's worked around that somehow.
These sales people obviously have no scruples so it might be worth keeping an eye out for this when it comes to elderly relatives and neighbours.

The only reason that I can think of, for not getting roof insulation, is because the house already has it. I am not suggesting that you get from Npower, but if you don't have it already then get it done one way or another.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
