Hiya
My friend has just got this account and has a maintenance charge for the account of £6.98. She doesn't have an overdraft and has never used it yet, she is under the impression it is a one off payment is she right or is it every month.
TIA

Sounds like she has signed up for the Advantage Blue package which I think is about £7 a month.0

The Advantage Blue is £6.95 per month so get her to double check the amount if it was £6.95 then yes it is every month can't think what else it could be unless the account was overdrawn but as you say she hasn't used it yet then that is ruled out.0

She has rang the bank and it is the advantage blue she has got but she didn't realise this and now she is -£6.95 plus has £28 bank charges to come. I think she will have to pop in and see them and explain and see if they can do anything.0
