Faulty goods but company want extra money before replacing

I have a catalogue with shop direct. This does actually tend to be their policy. If you buy something that you need to return for any reason, they will credit your account within 2 weeks once they have received the returned item. If you would like a replacement sending, you have to reorder the replacement yourself.
Having said that, I have never had to return part of a set before, perhaps you should return the whole set, wait for the refund to come through and then order again?Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs

Amazon did the same thing to me with a badly dented electrical item. We ended up going backwards and forwards so many times that they got confused and refunded all the charges, and I got a free slow cooker!Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Dont see the problem, this is the quickest way to get the problem resolved what they proposed
If you dont want to pay the £40 odd then get them to collect the chairs which they will do for free, once its received at the warehouse they will credit the amount and you can then reorder the chairs.
If you have an account with them then there is no money to pay upfront anyway0
