    MSE should not get "into bed" with any provider.

    It should be impartial and journalistic.

    Martin has written a few times about how the site is not influenced in anyway, products and services are rated. If the products are good they get written about. If they happen to pay the site that is just by the by. There are always links to providers that do not pay the site for people to choose to click through.

    Something like having a branded credit card would risk the sites impartiality as this would be getting pushed to the detriment of better products.

    Its like when you see on moneysupermarket when applying for loans, sponsored providers are at the top. You need to scroll down past the "top 5" results to ge to the proper top 5 results based on price.
