    Hi everyone

My samples from Elemental Beauty have just arrived and this is the first time I will have used mineral makeup, so any tips to get me started. I guess I will have to put the colour into a plastic container and dip brush in and then shake off the excess. i have a spot on my face as well so should I cover that up first with a bit of noral concealer not mineral.

    cheers

Just dab your finger into it and pat onto the spot. Leave for a few mins or so, then apply all over with a brush. Dip brush in, not too much, and tap off excess and kind of swirl it all over. Perhaps working from the outside in. If you, like alot of us, have a red t zone, you may find it better to do that bit first.

Remember, less is more. If it looks dry and caked, you have applied too much. Fluff it on - go away and look ten mins later. Best tip i was ever given was to apply it with eyes shut! They were actually joking - but it did work! I am rather slap dash with it all now - don't have time to faff around and being this way gave me the best finish!

Cheers for the tips, I have just put some on and even though i am feeling as rough as nuts (cold ahhhh) I have to say I am impressed with the results. I got 4 pots from the Elemental Beaty and went for the Sand which has given a nice result.

I'll try it again tomorrow when we are gonig out so I'll put the lippy on etc. If I decide to go ahead with this as a permanent thing, shall I buy there starter pack which has the blusher, bronzer, eyeshaddow etc. or can I just use my normal Benefit Blusher etc and then invest once that has run out.

    cheers me dears

I tend to use one of the darker shades as a blusher rather than pay out for something extra on top. I have a dark shade for summer but blend it with a lighter shade for spring etc. Mix n Match!!

I'm not trying to lose EB a sale, but you might want to just buy a big pot of your favourite colour, keep some dark shades for a blusher and any eyeshadow will do. Tho saying that, if you buy a dark or darkish eye shadow, if you dip a small damp brush into it, you can apply it as eyeliner!

in the EDM they teach you how to do your own.... 3 parts of water, 1 part glycerin +1 tsp vitamine e (powder) the vitamin e acts like a preservative, you can put in the fridge if u want.. im not sure how long it lasts for but i think they said more than 2 weeks... i know some people uses only the water + glycerin but this mixture needs to be used sooner. i havent tried it yet.. i need to get the glycerin and vitamin e powder.
