in Credit cards
Hi all,
I am one of those people with a non existent credit history. Equifax hold details only of my current account and orange account and 1 search in May (failed loan application). Experian has literally nothing, no credit accounts, no details and no searches. Based on the advice on this website and forum, I have applied for and been accepted for a Barclycard Initial card.
I have heard contradicting advice on whether having 2 cards (obviously using them and paying them off in full every month) improves your credit rating faster than having just one. Can anyone clear this up for me? If it is better to run 2 cards, which other card would you recommend I apply for? And am I less likely to be accepted because there is obviously a very recent search on my file?
Thanks for your help.

Use whatever cards you feel you need. Having one card and a bank account report to the CRA's will build up good history - excessive cards will hinder your score.
I have 4 and 2 bank accounts if that helps.....
