Mot, lost registration document?

The tester would have to check the vin number to make sure the car they are testing is the actual car and not a ringer supplied by a dodgy character to get a scrapper through the test with different number plates on it.0

Just had my MOT done and they didnt ask for the registration document - as it is all computerised now all the info they need is on the computer - so no you don't need it0

As long as the Vin number can be found on the vehicle there should not be a problem.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

My OH was asked to take his registration document last week for the car's MOT. We couldn't find it so he went without. It made no difference at all. He was told he would need it for the new electronic MOT but they did it anyway.0

I've just had 2 cars mot'd on the new system and nobody mentioned registration docs.0
