Who is the cheapest supplier?

I have been with Atlantic Electric and Gas for 7 years online. I am moving to a new house but fancy a change.(Atlantic used to give us 1 month free in June for both G & E (£130) ). Any supplier cheaper than them out there? Mind never had any issues with customer services or incorrect bills in 7 yrs

Depends, Kev on lots of variables, where you live, size of house, are you in all day and so on.
Atlantic are part of Southern Ele tric, who have a good service record, and you will lose the £130 if you move this side of June.
Nearer then, put your annual kwh's (Atlantic will tell you this) into a comparison site .
If you are a low user, try Ebico, who are also in partnership with SE.

£130 is one-twelfth of their annual usage. And you are suggesting they switch to Ebico! <shakes head disbelievingly>

Nobody pays £1560 per year for energy and once you know.Kev, your kwh's p.a., shove them thru a comparison site, and if not too much a difference you might want to go with an ethical company like Ebico.
Not for profit, straightforward billing. Gods children.

Hey, don't insult new posters. Welcome them nicely. Don't accuse them of lying through their teeth. If Kev says he received an £130 refund who are you to know different?

I just switched to Scottish Power as they seem the best for me, there is an exit fee of £50 if you leave in a year but I doubt I will find anywhere cheaper!!
Anyway it is about 20% cheaper than what I am paying now so even if I have to pay the exit fee I should be better off. I will just have to keep an eye on their tarrif.
Npower were slightly cheaper but they ripped me off before so they know where they can shove their kilowatt hours ;).
I'm a low user so it probably won't be right for you.
Toffs laying into the less well off? Surely not!! :naughty:

  • EON are coming up as cheapest for me - just waiting for a cash back deal to pop up on one of the cash back sites. Scottish Power and EDF have offers just not EON!!!
  • We have always had one month free for both gas and electric refunded into my bank in June for the last 6 years along with a letter to confirm. Is Atlantic the same as Scottish Power? Knowing the Jocks, they give nowt away free????

If your planning to move to Scottish Power go through TOPCASHBACK.

You will get a cashback of £110 through them and still be on the best rates with scottish Power.

..Is Atlantic the same as Scottish Power? ...
Atlantic is a trading name of Scottish & Southern, not Scottish Power.

  • Scottish Hydro Elec/Southern/Atlantic are all the same. I recently changed from EDF Energy to Scottish Power, My bills doubled in Direct Debits as the prices were more expensive, now im back with EDF saving alot of money again, bills come in much cheaper and in credit... I would recommend EDF.
