Debtbegone's Debtbusting Diary

Eek, nearly a week since I posted, but I've got quite a good excuse! I'm now working 2 part time jobs, which gives me full time hours
as well as my own regular work!
It's going to be super busy for me in the run up to christmas, but I'm going to try my best to post each day to keep me on the right track. I'm a bit touch and go with dosh right now due to having to buy stuff for my own work that I hadn't counted onbut will be getting paid from my paye work from the end of next week onwards so budgeting should be way easier!
Today I'm splitting my time between working on orders and listing on ebay. Aiming to sit down and do an hour at each so I don't get too fed up with one or the other. Might try and pop back on here at some point too to make a list of stuff I plan to do over the next week.
While working through figures and what not when I got the 2nd job, I figured that if I'm good with the money (and don't go crazy with it now I'll have some regular coming in) that with a little bit of effort I *could* have the idiotic hbos card at 29.9% interest paid off in full by January!
I usually set myself silly, unrealistic targets but I really think that I can achieve this one what with the two p/t jobs and christmas orders and if I push myself that little bit extra to keep up doing extra moneymaking bits and bobs it could be gone :TThe debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

sounds good! Hope you get it cleared.0

Me too
It would be SUCH a weight off my mind, totally hate the hbos card, silly interest and I've never properly been without any balance on it in the last 5 years
Today I've done 5 1/2 hours of "regular pay" worknow to get to my own work, then work on my halloween costume, want to get those finished as soon as possible so I can get cracking with other things! Oh, and have remembered to do jpj so far this week. All two days of it, haha.
I've got one payday on Thursday, should be getting around £100ish from there which, along with what I've got already in my bank, will cover all the bills going out over the next week. Then other paydays on the 5th & 12th, roll on next week when the debtbusting will really begin.
How are you getting on purple? The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Getting on fine. Trying to list as much as i possibly can on ebay. Only 10 weeks left of 2010 so i need to pay £100 a week to the CC to get it cleared eep!!! dont think that'll happen but would be sooo good to start 2011 off with no debt. would be weird tho! I can't remember not being in debt.0

Ha, I know that feeling! I was 17 when I had no debt at all, then Uni came along with Student Loans & Overdrafts and I've been there since
That'd be totally awesome to bring in the New Year with no debt! Did I see on the £10 a day at some point that you make jewellery? Could you do a blitz on that in the local shops, friends & family, folksy etc over the next month and a half in the run up to Christmas to bring in some extra pennies to help you?
I need to get my bum in gear today. Did jpj, one regular pay job (think I'm going to start calling them RPJ, way quicker to type) and a wee bit of my own work but still have millions to do!
7 items with watchers on ebay, need to get my bum in gear with that too, and with my halloween costume, argh!
Are you doing anything for Halloween? I haven't been out in soooo long I'm treating myself, well I've got a couple of bottles of wine before we head out for a semi-sensible night :rotfl:along with making my own costume to save on the penniesThe debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

I sold stuff in a few tourist shops but now the season is over i've taken my stuff back. might do a craft fair at xmas tho.
Not going out for Halloween, i really hate fancy dress so thats enough to put me off lol!
It was the same with me, in debt since I went to Uni almost 10 years ago!!! !!!!!!! sick of being skint all the time! Did some ebaying today, trying to list just 2 items a day!
Hope you have a good weekend!0 -
Fair's a good idea! I went out and had a great time, seriously cheap night too by having some wine before heading out and keeping sensible, but even still felt a tad on the rough side
Jings! Just seen in you sig that you're below a grand, very very well done! :T
I'm working extra hours this week so I'm flat out, going to avoid ebay till the weekend and crack on with my own work in the evenings. Really not liking the weather right now, need to dig out the bus timetables and see how getting the bus would fit in with work vs cycling vs scrounging a lift! The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Ta
glad to be in the 3 digits. Its a scary thought that it was 4 years ago in dec that i started debt busting!
This weather is just pants! But I do rather the winter to summer.0 -
Sometimes I'm a summer kinda gal but most of the time I much prefer the winter, love the wind howling and the rain pelting down when I'm all cosy in front of the open fire
Just totalled up for the start of november, starting to make a wee dent finally, though the total for the start of Dec should be a lot nicer as I've got "pay days" for the next 6 weeks :j
Missed x-factor tonight as I was too busy cooking up some yummy curry.
For the rest of tonight I'm going to get descriptions written up and photos taken for 5 items to list on ebay tomorrow. I'm going to need to find myself around a grand between now and January ontop of what I know is coming in  maybe being a bit optimistic with the hoping the hbos card will be gone in Jan! I think it's kinda given me a kick up the bum to really go for it and challenge myself though.
I'm doing more overtime next week which effectively means I'm working full time, plus part time ontop! Hopefully will have enough energy to get little bits and pieces done in the evenings as I've got a whole lot jotted down that I'm needing to get done.
On with the writing and photo taking! The debtWILLbegone - taking it 1% at a time

Right, 5 items have now been photographed and descriptions written up for them ready to list. Going to try to do another 5 tomorrow (still working my way through my bro & sis's stuff!) also just ordered a £5 boots voucher from cokezone
If I'd realised what bloomin' rewards they had on there sooner I'd have way more as my mum drinks gallons of the stuff and the bottles have just been thrown away!
