Hi I wonder in anyone can help me. I've just received a brand new sony vaio laptop from Currys, but I haven't ordered it, it doesn't seem to have been paid for by any of my credit cards (although I'll keep checking) I don't think I've won it but its definitely addressed to me.
Now I'd love to keep this computer, but I don't know what to do. If I contact curry's will I have to give it back? Any advice out there?
Best wishes

Put it in a cupboard for three months, if they don't contact you and provide means to return it without causing you inconvenience or cost it is yours to keep under the unsolicited goods act.

lucky you!
as mentioned forget about it and then either flog it or use it
out of curiosity, what laptop is it?Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Actually to correct my earlier post after checking it would appear you no longer even need to keep them for three months, congratulations on your new laptop.

Yeah show us what you got you lucky !!!!!!.
your first post related to England Scotland Wales
Your Second Seems only to refer to NI
i have to say ive never heard of the second source but with it being NI, that would explain itBack by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Maybe it is a competition win and it's been sent through Currys?
Was there an invoice within the packaging?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
there was next to no paperwork, except a piece of paper saying 'currys superstore branches' my address and an order ref. (I thought about calling up about it, but don't want it taken away!) It's a sony vaio laptop with 500gb. I think i'm in love.0

Was it addressed to you? i.e. was the package in your name, or did it have someone elses name on?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Addressed to me at the right address.0

It's mine, they obviously got our address mixed up, I'd be grateful if you could send it one to meIf it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Sit tight, do nothing and keep your fingers crosse. Assume its a competition win that you've forgotten about! It does happen - a while back (do you remember the free tins of emulsion paint from Focus/Do it All that were in one of the home decorating magazines?) I bought 12 mags and got 12 tins of paint. I also sent off a couple of the competition draw entries - several months later a lovely new special edition vacuum cleaner turned up ! It was addressed to me at the correct addy but there was no paperwork with it - 10 days leater I got a letter from the Comp people telling me my prize was on its way to me!
Maybe its something similar for you.ELITE 5:2
