I have just gone over to Virgin media for my phone b/b and TV
I have signed up to 18185.co.uk on the advice of this website
I understood that from non-BT landlines to an 020 number it was 5p connection and 0p per minute
I have made two 30 minutes calls to UK local landlinesa nd the invoice on the 18185 site is saying £1:13
Surely if it was really 0p per minute as this site says it would be 10p?
I don't think that rate is that cheap - maybe cheaper than BT and Virgin but 1p a minute is not "saving a fortune" as one of the people on here claimed
feeling a bit disappointed

A different tariff applies if the 0808 gateway number is used.

5p connection and 0p/min is from BT lines using the 18185 access number, from cable lines you need the 0808... access number and as this costs more to run, there are higher charges as listed on their website and direct link provided above. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

ok thanks for that - thought I'd misunderstood something - its really disappointing
is it still cheaper than what I'd be paying for weekday calls on VirginMedia?
looks like I'd have been better off staying with BT and registering with 18185
also save the palaver of the code for every call just to save 3p
I really was only interested if it was a 5p connection rate and nothing else!
Thought it was too good to be true!!
you cant win with these b**gers!0
