Really need advice on Item no where near as described!

OK guys need your help.

I bought these trainers off ebay and they arrived today. Item number - 320435624100

They are really dirty, have marks and dirt all over, and even have dog poo inbetween the grooves on the sole!

Do I go straight through paypal for item not not as described or email the seller and ask for a refund? I've never had this problem before and not sure of the best way to go.

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Email the seller state the problem and see what they offer. If the answer isn't satisfactory then think about opening a dispute
  • Email the seller first, give them a chance to refund.. and then go through paypal if they won't do it.

Remember to send them back through trackable (recorded) post so that the seller can't claim that they haven't received them back.
  • Thanks, have sent an email and will let you know when I receive a reply.

Goodness, a glance at the feedback and stars rather suggests that seller won't last long on ebay. The stars alone put them in the danger zone for suspension.

Even the pictures suggest they've been worn more than once - unless they wore them for a month without taking them off!!

They are clearly not as described: 'New: Without Box' and 'Worn Once' don't mean the same thing in eBay's eyes!!

Just to update. The seller got back to me today, and says they were exactly as described when posted and she even had pictures on ebay which shows the condition and they are exactly as described. She says she will not be giving me a refund and cant believe I would say there was dog poo on them (although there is).

I have put this to paypal as a claim. Is this the correct step to take? or should I have done something else first?

    Thanks

    Ok guys, need help now.

I got the above trainers as part of my boyfriends xmas, as thats the style he really wants. He said he would be happy to keep them  and give me the money and clean them up himself .

I have opened a claim with paypal and the seller has said they will not give a full refund. Do you think it would be wise to ask for a partial refund and keep them for him. They aren't bad inside, just dirty and marked on the outside, but im sure these will clean up fine.

Do you think this would be wise, and paypal might think I am at it for a refund? I would rather a full refund, but he really likes them and has wanted this style for a while.

What do you guys think?

    Thanks in advance

You do realise these trainers are probably as fake as the Prada handbag.

If you bf does want to keep them then I would contact the seller again and say that you would be willing to close the dispute if they were to give you a parital refund.
