I want knee high boots but for bigger calves

My quest for black boots continues...

I got several pairs of black boots from M and S including some of their supposed wide fitting ones and none fit :( they just won't do up.....My calves have got a lot of fluid on from taking medication and I am desperate to wear knee high boots again...

I thought about Evans or Simplybe but I think they may be then too big around my smaller ankles....Duo are out as I couldn't justify £140 odd on a pair of boots at this moment....

Any other suggestions?

A friend of mine always suffered trying to get long boots but couldn't get them to fit around the calves.... she got some from Evans in the end and was over the moon with them... I don't recall her ever saying that they were baggy around the ankles or anything - she never had big ankles.

bigger calves? Perhaps you should leave the sexy FMB's to the younger girls and try these instead:

    FMB's?????

and I hardly think 30 is too old...
  • FMBs = F**k me boots ;)

The wellies really aren't a helpful suggestion. I had same problem a couple of years back when I was rather more muscley than I am now :o found the perfect fitting ones for me at Faith. I also tried some Hush Puppies ones which were fine around calf but I did find them a little too generous around ankle so I do appreciate the problems you mention.

Thanks, ;) I may still young for boots but all the abbreviations and text speak I'm getting to the point why can't people just talk normally for a change...

and no the wellies were exactly helpful...

I'm really upset about it as it's only since altering the medication that it's happened and it's causing problems with everything in cluding finding things like jeans etc...

Will try Faith hadn't thought of those....thank you :D
  • Well if it helps you feel any better I only knew about FMBs because it was explained to me last winter when I was wearing my boots :o As a newly divorced fortysomething a work colleague took it upon himself to educate me..... I also know what a !!!!!! is now too :D

Oh..... and .......before you ask ..... I did get the offer of the F in the FMBs ...... however my view that its not wise to mix business with pleasure meant he got rebuffed :rotfl:
