Wheres best to sit in Guilgud/Avenue Q please

Im heading to London on the 18th and plan to take my oh to see Avenue Q for his birthday. Ive had a good look around at various deals and have seen some for the Upper circle for £10. I was wondering just how goos is your view from there. Ive seen the floor plan for the theatre and it looks huge.
My other options were £27.50 for top price seats or £25 for the rear stalls.
Were trying to do it as MSE as poss and have already got £3 flight, cheap top secret hotel and dinner is using Tesco rewards, so cheap tickets would top it all off.

  • Hi Nic,

From memory, the Grand Circle is quite high up in the theatre so you will not see any facial expressions but it is a great show for £10 + booking fee.

Other offers I have found and these are for best avaliable:

Top price £39 seats reduced to £32.50 plus optional £1.50 postage fee if time allows from http://theatremonkey.eolts.co.uk/ search for Avenue Q,

    or

Two best available premium (best seats in the house) top price £55 (£60 on Friday Evenings and Saturday Afternoons) tickets (from agency / offer allocation) for the price of one - that is £27.50 (£30) each (plus £1 per booking, not per ticket, handling fee) at all performances EXCEPT Saturday Evenings.
Ticket selection is from agency / offer allocation. Subject to LIMITED availability, change, withdrawal at any time and box office discretion.

To book, call the Daily Telegraph Newspaper Offers Line / Keith Prowse Tickets agency phoneroom on 0844 209 1842 and quote the "Daily Telegraph Readers' Buy One Get One Free 'Avenue Q' Offer" in the Daily Telegraph Newspaper of 22nd August 2009. Alternatively, visit www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/theatre/ and follow the link in the second blue band at the top of the page to the "Telegraph Box Office"

    or

    via Ticketmaster

Best available non-premium top price £39 tickets (from agency / offer allocation) reduced to £27.50 each (plus £2.50 per transaction, not per ticket, handling fee) at all Monday to Thursday Evening plus Friday 5.30pm performances ONLY.

    Hope this helps

WOW Rob thanks for that. I saw the telegraph deal but though it was for matinees only, ill have another look and look at your other links.
I think its the kind of show youd have to be close to see the puppets, so id rather pay more than the £10 to get a better view. Just didnt want to avoid the upper circle if it was a small theatre and good views.

thanks again youve been a good help.

  • I should add that premium seats are rows h-m seats 8-19 in the stalls and dress circle a,b and d 15 - 22 plus c 14 - 21. You get a free programme with the premium seats. You can also get the front row for £20 (plus booking fee) however the stage is fairly high so you will be looking up a bit.

One other thing is do you have a disability? If so you may qualify for cheaper seats.
