Sending auction items to Ireland (Dublin)

I've received a question on one of my items regarding postage to Dublin. I've requested no international buyers for the reason that I don't know how much it would cost to send!

I'll respond as I'm not inflexible, but I don't know where to start.

It's a pair of mens shoes. Does anyone know the best way of sending them securely?

Whenever I've sent stuff abroad I've always gone with royal mail.
I've sent a few items using them to Poland, Portugal and Italy and had no problems.
It costs £3.50 for a signature on top of the airmail, it may sound expensive but if you explain to the potential bidder the costs the choice is their's.

If you go to the Royal Mail website then you'll be able to enter the weight (pair of shoes around 800g), and then you can enter where it's going and you'll see a list of available services and prices.
