Bright finance - are they still trading?

Jeffs,

Did you ever get anywhere with getting your money back from First Plus / Bright?

I am jut starting my claim for my PPI and am trying to get hold of Bright but no joy. I read on the forum that they have gone into administration does this mean I can't claim now?

I'm in the same boat with Bright Finance and First Plus but my loan was taken out in October 2004. I just been informed that my claim is not eligible as it is pre the January 2005 FSA regulation. Does anyone have any suggestions as to whether I can take this further?

Any help would be really appreciated.

you can take your claim to the Insurance Underwriters - in the case of First Plust this is Lloyds of London - they are pretty good at handling complaints !

Hi Stuart it all depends upon when you took out your claim - pre 15th january 2005 take your complaint to the Insurance Underwriters - Lloyds of London, post 15th January 2005 take it to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) - this is a government run body responsible for making compensation for companies who are in receivership !!

This is an old thread from over a year ago,no one has replied regarding the contact address.

Bright Finance are not trading. I have a complaint against them with the FSCS at the moment.
