QS supplies ,will not use again

Earlier this year I ordered an Aqualux shower enclosure from QS Supplies 72 Forest Road ,Leicester: LE5 0DG . They claim to be one of the countries major bathroom suppliers. The price quoted was vey good and the item arrived in good time, we arranged to have the shower fitted while we were on holiday, on return we saw that whilst the shower cubicle was ok the two seals were damaged, we also saw that it differed from the online picture. I rang the company and was told to contact aqualux as it was nothing to do with them, the person I spoke to was quite rude, so I contacted aqualux direct , they were very helpful, in the end I sent them picture of the enclosure which resulted in them confirming that this was not one of their products. I again rang QS and was told that this was a new model thats why it was different, Aqualux confirmed this was untrue.I emailed the company but got no reply. Eventually I sent a redorded delivery letter with coppies of email etc, I received a one line email saying they were investigating my concerns. To this date I have received no further contact, and I have reported the incident to Trading standards, and I now await the outcome.
Having had the item fitted I realise I was not in the best of positions and if we could have got some replacement seals I would probably put it down to experience. I did ask on MSE on another forum if anyone had any knowledge of this company without success.
It did dent our confidence in buying off the internet, we have just redone our main bathroom and it was difficult to separate fact from fiction when looking at posts on some websites ( including this one) relating to internet purchases. However we did manage to get some good deals, one of the best was for a shower enclosure off ebay from a chap near Lancaster. So I guess its just a matter of being more careful; in the future .
