San Vincenzo - ITALY.. Tuscany area

Hi there.

i have booked my honeymoon which is in July, (with the help from people on this site!) all i need is help on getting a train from Rome - San Vincenzo, or Rome - Pisa airport. and also car hire. i have checked some sites but all i can find is car hire in pisa.. which is a while away from san vincenzo. anybody know anywhere nearer i can hire a car from?

ALSO Anybody know nice places to go in san vincenzo or things to do?

Another thought is rent a car from Florence, we did this as we stayed in FLR for a couple of days and then went to Umbria where we had a rented a place, finally drove to Pisa for one night before flying home from there. Booked with Avis, they have an office in FLR that is not far from the station. Beware though as car hire not cheap. Nice driving round the countryside though it really is a beautiful place. Just close your eyes and hope for the best when driving in a city!!

    Fingers crossed! ;D

    Hi
the trains from Rome to Genova pass through S. Vincenzo, but express trains don't stop there, you have to change in Cecina or Livorno, or stop there and get a taxi or have someone to pick you up there. it takes approx. 2 1/2 hours to go from Rome to S. Vincenzo changing in Cecina.
The website of the Italian railways is https://www.trenitalia.com and you can consult it also in English, just click on the link in the upper right hand corner of the home page.
