    I just unscrewed/unclipped the case, and there were some absorbant sponge pads. Mine could have taken a LOT more ink before becoming saturated, so you might not need to do anything. If you do, you can probably just soak the pads in soapy water, rinse and dry them before replacing. Or, as andy2004 suggests, you could just divert the tiny plastic tube that leads to the absorbant pads, drill a hole in the side of the printer, and dangle/glue/weld(!) the tube into a container to catch the excess ink.
