It has done this loads of times. A 2-3% correction is nothing to get squeamish about. I read elsewhere that the average 2% movement occurs once a month - it's just that they seem to come along at once.
The stock market is a long-term investment. If uyou have either a high yield portfolio or a monthly-fed tracker (to take advantage of pound-cost averaging), then daily share prices shouldn't worry you.0 -

If I put too much stuff in my tumble drier it stops working till I take some out...A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
