I had this and although i know my computer settings are fine, i got this reply from Rachel when i emailed to ask about the problem. Hopefully it may be helpful to others out there.
This part of the site is running as it should be - however there may be an issue with your computer settings.
Please follow the steps below and let me know if it helps;
Enabling Javascript:
To find out what version your browser is go to the ?Help Menu? and click ?About?
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 3:
1. Go to the 'View' drop-down menu and click on 'Options...'.
2. Click the 'Security' tag and verify that the four 'Active Content' boxes are all checked.
3. Hit 'Okay'.
4. Click the 'Back' button at the top of your browser window, and then click 'Refresh'.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 4:
1. On the View menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
2. In the Zone box, click Restricted Sites Zone.
3. Click Custom (For Expert Users), and then click Settings.
4. Under Active Scripting, click Prompt, and then click OK.
5. Click OK, and then click OK again.
6. Click the 'Back' button at the top of your browser window, and then click 'Refresh'.
When "Do you want to allow scripts to run?" box appears, click 'Okay'.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and higher:
1. On the Tools drop-down menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
2. Click on the earth "Internet" icon, and then the Custom Level button.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Settings list, and locate the section named Scripting.
4. Under the subsection Active Scripting, click Enable. Answer Yes to the confirm box that pops up.
5. Click OK, and then click OK again.
6. Click the 'Back' button at the top of your browser window, and then click 'Refresh'.
For Netscape Communicator 4 and higher:
1. Go to the 'Edit' drop-down menu and click on 'Preferences...'.
2. In the "Category" list, click on 'Advanced'. You may then have to activate a choice entitled 'Scripts & Plugins'.
3 Click the 'Enable JavaScript' option, and then click okay. (If there is an application list, choose 'Navigator' as the application for which you wish to enable JavaScript.)
4. Click "OK" at the bottom of this window.
5. Click the 'Back' button at the top of your browser window, and then click 'Reload'.
For Mozilla 5:
1. On the Edit drop-down menu, click Preferences, and then click Advanced.
2. Click on Enable Javascript for Navigator
3. Click on OK
