Dell XPS sim card slot, just found it.

Hi me and the mrs both have Dell XPS M1330 laptops today i found a sim card slot under the battery.
anyone know what this is good for? i have put my three mobile sim in there but cannot find it anywhere on the system.
I have also googled around and cannot seem to find an answer from a UK site.
Any ideas? has anyone got a three card to work on this, if so how?

A lot of laptops have the option, so there is a cutout on the case in case it is fitted - the NC10's have this, for example (even though most dont have the reader).
