Scottish Power - Trying to get Customers Back

Hi
My deal with Scottish Power came to an end at the end of August so I opted out of the next fixed deal they tried to put me on did the comparisons and found that Eon would get me a better deal.
Gone via Quidco, already received the £62 cashback from Eon and due to switch to Eon in the next few days.
Tonight I had a phone call from a gentleman at Scottish Power saying that he could access real time comparison system that compared unit prices and I could save lots of money if I stayed with Scottish Power but I had to go through and agree to the deal over the phone tonight.
He then asked if I'd heard of Martin Lewis and that Martin Lewis said that Scottish Power were the cheapest provider.
I asked that he emailed me some details, which he wouldn't and as I don't like pressure sales techniques over the phone I refused to proceed. I said I'd look into it and if someone wanted to ring me tomorrow night I would discuss further then.
Although I don't think anyone will ring me tomorrow night does anyone know anything about this ???
Thanks
Jen

Had a similar experience a few days ago - I switched from SP to EON also after the August deal finished. I was actually switched 24th September. (just wish I'd used Quidco - I used Energyhelpline which only gave £15 !!)
The guy on the phone from SP was polite BUT wouldn't commit to anything in writing so I declined his kind offer and rang off. Haven't heard anything more.0
