Vaillant Boiler Help - f.22 Error

Not sure if this is the correct board for this problem.
My vaillant boiler shows a f.22 error message and neither the heating or hot water is working. Earlier this morning I noticed that the water pressure bar was low and filled the boiler to 1.5. But when I turn either the hot water or heating ON, I get error f.22. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you hit the re set button to clear the error?
If that does not work power off boiler and try again.
Failing that the pump may not be spinning up.

F22 code means there is not enough water in the system.
after filling up you may need to do a reset.
if the boiler still wont fire up, you may need a new pump.

Girl friend had this error on her boiler and it would make a thumping noise. To get around the problem I undid the small round cover on the pump and manually spun the pump as it seems to have locked up due to crap in the system. It got it working but it does seems that her system would need flushing as well but we where quoted £500.
