you can reclaim charges even if the account is closed
I can see no reason why you shouldn't go ahead and do the BT.0 -
Do you have a card to transfer to? If you have to find one, be prepared, you might not get one (particular in the current climate).I can see no reason why you shouldn't go ahead and do the BT.
The charges you have had, be it for late payment or over limit, will show up in your credit report, equally a potential lender
can see the current balance. You might come over as desperate………
Balance transfers are not aimed at people in tricky situations, but at potential high spenders.0 -
can you transfer a balance to a third party credit card? ie if someone else will get a card and take my transfer on?0

Yes, you can0

Transfer the debt first. that way you will incur a 3% fee that you can include on your claim for a charge refund.

Brilliant!
Er, the 3% fee will be from the new card provider, who are not going to refund it just because he doesn't want to pay it.0 -
Or just pay the 3% and have some semblance of morals & decency. By the way, BT fees aren't included in charge reclaims, they're ot a default charge0
