Want to sell a BOTHER sewing machine.

My mother wants to get rid of her sewing machine (finally!), it's a brother make and has a model number. That's all I know. I've seen some on eBay go as little as £10, we bought ours for around £200 (Not sure why so cheap, 2nd hand though). It's one of those massive ones, industrial machines I think.

I'm not sure what to do with it, I was thinking of starting the auction at £0.99 with no reserve and let it run. We just want to get rid of it as it is taking up space, however, we would prefere to make some £££.

Help me out, I have to put this up today as my sisters not in:mad: .

Thanks,

-MoE-

If it is one of the old fashioned metal ones then you are unlikely to get much for it at all as you have already found out. They were one of the first real mass produced items and everyone had them and as they were built to last there are still thousands around.

Personally you might be better off at a car boot sale as it will also save you the bother of packing up the thing.

Yeah it's those old ones. The thing eBay is that the buyer collects which saves us time, they are very heavy.

I think I'll just put it up on eBay and see how it does. Space is a priority atm.

    Thanks Soolin.
