Buyers asking for "Buy it Now" price

Hi
I'm selling an item on ebay that still has 5 days to go. The current bidding has reached £41 and I expect it to get to about £120 based on similar items seen on ebay.
I've had several prospective buyers sending me a message asking if I would do a "buy it now" price, even though I haven't offered one.
Is something going on here, or am I being overly suspicious ?
I'm minded not to do so as the bidding seems to be going very well only 2 days in, however I'm intrigued as why I've had several of these.

I'd just tell them that you aren't offering a buy it now price and that the item is currently running as an auction. Wish them luck with the bidding...well that's what I'd do anyway

Because they want the item and will pay a premium to have it and not have to take part in the auction? Because you're selling the item for a reason and want rid - so they want to take it off your hands quicker? Just because?
You don't have to allow people to buy early around the auction - just say no. Or name your price - if you think it's going to sell for £120 then tell them you want £150 for it. When they say no, just wish them luck in the auction.0 -
I agree with xycom1 ... If they want a BIN now price, take the price your expecting and add a bit. £150-£170 would sound fair for a the case it seems.
Then, you get the money guaranteed and don't have to hope the auction goes up plus a bit extra.0 -
Yes Buy It Now price. I once offered a BIN price to someone who accepted, I was quite suprised as I've heard barely anyone accepts them. I don't usually do it unless I need an item for a particular date.

Be wary of offers that sound too good though!0
