scrappage scheme, help!!

My car has only got 2 month MOT left now. It drives well but just has different colour front bumper and bonet. I don't think I can sell it with a good price. So I'm seriously considering to buy a new car by using scrappage scheme.

I was thinking to buy Seat Leon 1.9TDI. they were doing £10999 one month ago. But the offer has gone now.

I need to buy a similar size car due to a new baby coming. I also prefer a diesel one since I do 15k miles/year. my budget is around £11000 or less after scrappage.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

I haven't any specific suggestions although before setting your heart on a certain car you'll have to make sure that it can be delivered before your MOT runs out.

    This is incorrect advice.

The car to be scrapped needs to have a current MOT only at the date the new car is ordered.

Thanks. I got two months left now. Need to make decision quickly.

Anyone has heard any good offer?

The scappage scheme is just that, a scheme. It was devised to separate you from your cash in the name of the "green thing", but overwhelmingly to aid recuperration of the economy in the present climate..
Can anyone imagine that the government of this country of ours has not settled a deal with all the major manufacturers to allow them to sell cars with no loss and also to allow the tax payer to feel good about it. Don't !!!! up my back and tell me it is raining is a phrase that comes to mind:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

On 15k miles the petrol might be a better option. Do some research on costs, fuel costs, servicing and potential problems. Diesel engines these days can be problematic.
