Pick up a copy of the free Somerfield magazine - there are always loads of coupons in there. I use them at Asda, and they will take up to 10% of your total bill. You do not have to buy the products!0

thanks for all the links and suggestions.....hopefully they will keep me in vouchers a bit longer.........Work to live= not live to work0

*laughing* someone else who gets a buzz from using vouchers....I thought I was the only weird individual around who did.

I buy vouchers off of ebay too uuuumm so perhaps we're bidding against each other lol
I am so sad that I write down on my budget planner how much I paid for vouchers and the savings I have made...this month it has been £88!!!! a really good month.
I eye up which till operator is on and I know exactly the ones who don't take them now and the ones that try to put as many through as pos.
I'm also fortunate that my daughters delivery a local paper and often they have leaflets to deliver too, any spares and I search for the coupons.
I also brought a bunch of magazines from a car boot (after noticing that there was a few coupons in there). I paid 5p for each magazine and used at least 50p coupons from each one and I then had mags to read too
Good luck with your coupon quest!!!

hi...sallysavings.....i am not the only one....i am glad i came out and admitted my addiction to shopping vouchers....i sit here and hold my hand up... and admit i am a voucherholic.........
i too have started writting down how much i save on each shopping trip...and the same as you when i go to check out i scan the sa's and you get a sixth sense... you seem to know which ones will take ...ALL your vouchers.....and the ones that will only take a few, or only one voucher of one type.....the most vouchers i have used in one spend is £17.00 , which was before i started writting them down.....
i think i will use that as a signature.....voucherholic......maybe there should be a weekly thread ....
also maybe we are bidding against each other on ebay....i have the same username there too...so if you see me on your travels say hi.....Work to live= not live to work0 -
Heehee, I bid for vouchers on eBay too sometimes! (won't divulge my eBay username here...).
Totally on your wavelength guys! Only started to do this a few months ago and I've saved loads! Only problem is, our fridge and freezer are chock-a-block, as well as having cupboards full of non-perishables I've bought just to make sure I've spent the minimum spend for an £8 of £80 spend coupon. Don't get me wrong, I also then hand over as many manufacturers' coupons as the till operator will take.
Similar-minded people have discussed this addiction before on other recent threads (search for 'Tesco coupons' in the chat forum). It's great when they accept lots and I will not be put off by those who say 'it's only a matter of time before the supermarkets put a stop to it'. Funnily enough I've found threads from 2004 saying exactly the same thing...
My 2 tips for coupons would be to look in Superdrug where there are sometimes containers full of leaflets with coupons, you can pick up lots! Secondly, if you don't mind using those in someone else's name buy some of the Sainsbury's vouchers listed this week on eBay - Tesco take them (and it's their normal policy to do so, not a mistake by the till operator). Tesco don't get the money back, it's a deliberate ploy to get Sainsburys' customers.
Final tip (given before in another thread) - look for young lads on the tills, avoid older ladies who seem to scrutinise every coupon and act as if the money is coming out of their wages!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

hi.. coupon-mad......ye i do the same look for the young teenagers... as you say the older sa's seem to think its their money...... why have you got to spend £80.00 ? what ever amount i spend on my shopping, they take the coupons off... my last shop was £32.00 and they took neally £17.00 worth of coupons off.. and i think if there was more there, they would have taken them as well.... i tend to take about between 10 - 20 pounds worth of coupons out with me.... depending on what i have in the house...... but our tesco is in a very competiitve area... with asda somerfield..... sainsburys... morrisons all with in easy traveling distance....we have 4 tescos within 10 miles radius... so there is a lot of comp...so maybe thats why they will take more vouchers... off your shopping bill........
as they do with tescos codes etc.... do you think they would allow a voucher thread....
happy voucher shopping....everyone..... on hols for a few days.......Work to live= not live to work0 -
Morning fellow voucherholics

I think that some places only take 10% of the shopping bill in vouchers, others will take vouchers if they are all different...i.e. one of each voucher (so I try to have a wide range in my purse just in case) and will not take duplicates and my favourite lovely kind hearted soles will take them all
