Can I be a named driver and have my own policy with direct line?

Is it possible to build up no claims on 2 policys at the same time? ( this is with 2 different cars, named drivers get no claims bonuses with direct line)

I don't see where the benefit would be as no claims is counted in years. Direct line usually aren't the cheapest around and only they will accept no claims based on the named driver thing from their own policies. Do not assume a policy with them with their no claims is cheaper than a policy elsewhere without any no claims at all. Always check, it's easy enough to do these days online.

If you took the no claims from being a named driver with DL and had your own policy for a year, I think you'd probably get away with taking the full no claims elsewhere.
