wonder if anyone has had problems with apple.
my daughters ipod touch was sent back to apple because it developed a glitch with the external speaker, they returned it saying that there was no issue with it and updated the software, however the same week as it was returned it developed another fault ( which is a bit suspect to me ) it started not responding when the screen was touched and then the screen would flicker on an off, then it gave up the ghost completely. i sent it back to apple who have now said the ipod has been accidentally damaged or misused as that is a form of water damage, it's a bit strange as the ipod is less than a year old, has never been out in bad wether, never near water and is always in a hard plastic case and is like new condition.
anyone have any advice on how to persue apple on this? or have you had any similar experiences?

The iPod Touch has a water sensor inside that changes colour when it has been immersed in water, so it's relatively easy for Apple to see if it has gotten wet or not.0

yes i know this, but i know for a fact this has not been wet, which makes me wonder if this is a scapegoat technique or similar, going by the reviews on www.consumeraffairs.com there seems to be many of similar complaints, strange how this fault only occurred after it was returned from them0

I'm not sure why a multi-billion dollar company would be conspiring against you, or coming up with excuses so they don't have to repair their faulty products.
Who did you speak to at Apple? I have never had anything other than excellent experiences with their customer service. The earphones that came with an old iPod broke, and Apple couriered replacement ones to me over-night. When I purchased my iMac, I thought it was a little on the noisy side, and Apple asked me immediately if I wanted to swap it for a new one. I didn't have to complain, or threaten, or moan; they just bent over backwards to ensure I was satisfied.0
