finding username by email address

Hi there just wondered if anyone new of a way to find somebodys username by their email address. I know this sounds strange but a friend of mine has has a few items going walkabouts lets say. She thinks one of her teenage sons is taking them and selling them on ebay. Just wondered if there was anyway she could check first. She doesn't want to get anyone else involved apart from the boys parents if her suspisions are true. But doesn't want to accuse if she is wrong. Thanks

Just tried this & it came up with

"The email address ******@****.*** is used by a valid eBay member with a feedback score of 1 (100% positive). We have not found a transaction between you and this member in the last 60 days. For privacy reasons, it's eBay's policy that User IDs are not revealed to members who are not involved in current or recent transactions with each other."

That's weird, it works for me and I tried it with someone I've never been involved in a transaction with

I've found that it only lets you search for a member via their email address if you've completed a transaction with them in the last 60 days.

emilyt, if it doesn't work for you then try going to ebay and hope they haven't signed out. Or search for one of the items though that could mean scrolling through hundreds of pages.

Try 'advanced search' put in a keyword then scroll down and you can choose a location and 'items within x amount of miles of...........' That might narrow it down a bit.
